The key on the stairs
A neighbor with a spare key needs to know when the person waiting has arrived.
Sam remembered the keys at the same moment the apartment door clicked shut.
His neighbor Iris kept a spare. They had arranged that months earlier, after Iris had done exactly the same thing. She was at home today, but Sam still needed to collect a parcel before coming back.
They spoke briefly and agreed to meet at the bottom of the stairs. Iris asked him to use their “At the entrance” Quick Ping when he returned.
Twenty minutes later, Sam set the parcel down, opened PingRoom, and tapped it.
Iris saw the Ping, picked up the spare from her kitchen drawer, and came downstairs. She handed it across the railing before Sam had finished explaining the door.
He brought the key back that evening, after unpacking the parcel and returning the trolley he had borrowed. Iris put the spare back in its drawer. Sam checked his pocket before pulling his own door shut.
