The balcony after watering

A neighbor finishes checking the plants and sends the update they agreed on.

Before leaving for a few days, Noor showed her neighbor which balcony pots dried out fastest. The basil needed checking each morning. The large planter could usually wait.

She left a key and a watering can by the door. They also made a small PingRoom room for the visit, with a Quick Ping labelled “Plants checked and watered.”

On the second morning, Eva found the basil drooping in the sun. She checked the soil, watered the dry pots, and moved the smallest one into shade, as Noor had suggested.

Back inside, Eva put the can down and sent the Ping.

Noor saw it while waiting for her train. She had been about to message Eva between connections; instead, she put her phone away and found her platform.

When Noor returned, the basil had new leaves. Eva came over to return the key, and Noor put the coffee on.
