Common fixes.
- Pings aren't arriving
- PingRoom delivers straight through Apple and Google. If notifications don't show up, make sure they're allowed for PingRoom in your phone's Settings, the room isn't muted, and a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode isn't filtering them. Reopening the app re-registers your device.
- Location triggers aren't firing
- Location triggers use your phone's built-in geofencing, so Location access must be set to “Always”. Your phone monitors the boundary locally. When it fires, PingRoom receives the saved trigger ID—not your current GPS position or travel path. Because the server stores the configured boundary, the event tells us that the device entered or exited that area.
- What happens when I share a place?
- A place is attached only when you choose it and send the Ping. Its precise coordinates and optional label or address remain with that Ping in notification history and are visible to its recipients and any Room destinations you enabled. This is separate from geofence triggers: your device evaluates the saved boundary, then sends an event that tells our server the device entered or exited that area without including a live GPS sample.
- I started as a guest. How do I keep my account?
- You can use PingRoom as a guest with no signup. To keep your rooms and move between devices, add your email in Settings and confirm the one-time code we send. Your guest data carries straight over.
- Managing your subscription
- PingRoom Pro may be billed through the App Store, Google Play, or Stripe on the web. Manage it through the same purchase channel. After a confirmed lapse, paid automations may be disabled but retained for restoration; a short payment-verification grace may apply but isn't guaranteed.
- Deleting your account and data
- You can delete your unified account from either app. We remove your active account, memberships, credentials, managed-agent graph, and account-linked data as described on the deletion page. Inactive Room history, legal or anti-abuse records, backups, local app data, and provider-controlled records may remain for limited purposes.
