The last loaf room

A bakery’s useful end-of-day promise travels from one regular to the next without becoming another advertisement.

A bakery’s last loaves sending one red signal through a small circle of neighbors

At closing time, the bakery sometimes had a few good loaves left.

A public post was too broad and usually too late.

So the baker made one room with one promise: members would hear only when bread would otherwise go to waste.

A regular invited a neighbor. The neighbor invited a roommate.

No one forwarded an advertisement.

They explained the room:

“If there is bread tonight, you’ll know.”

The room traveled because its promise was useful enough to repeat.
