Pingo wants a spot on your home screen
A first look at Pingo’s optional iPhone app icon: red clay, heavy eyelids, and the same look he gives a group chat with forty-seven replies.
Pingo has spent enough time waiting for everyone to notice him. We made him an app icon.
This is a first look at an optional Pingo icon for PingRoom on iPhone. It is in development and is not yet available in the public App Store release.
Same bird. Smaller address.
Pingo the Pigeon is PingRoom’s fictional mascot: the patient red bird trying to get one useful message through a noisy room. You may know him from the dinner that was ready forty-seven messages ago.
For his icon, we kept the long neck, hand-worked clay, small peach beak, and the expression of someone who has already answered that question.
The warm off-white background gives his face room to stand out. Just Pingo, looking back at you.
Where you will find him
PingRoom’s four-node icon stays the default. Pingo is optional; nothing switches automatically.
Once an iOS update containing the icon is released, you will find it under:
Settings → App Icon → Pingo
The same picker will let you switch back to the default. Your Rooms, Pings, and account stay the same. Android app-icon switching is not currently available.
