# Pingo wants a spot on your home screen

Pingo has spent enough time waiting for everyone to notice him. We made him an app icon.

This is a first look at an optional Pingo icon for PingRoom on iPhone. It is in development and is not yet available in the public App Store release.

## Same bird. Smaller address.

[Pingo the Pigeon](/Pingo) is PingRoom’s fictional mascot: the patient red bird trying to get one useful message through a noisy room. You may know him from the dinner that was ready forty-seven messages ago.

For his icon, we kept the long neck, hand-worked clay, small peach beak, and the expression of someone who has already answered that question.

The warm off-white background gives his face room to stand out. Just Pingo, looking back at you.

## Where you will find him

PingRoom’s four-node icon stays the default. Pingo is optional; nothing switches automatically.

Once an iOS update containing the icon is released, you will find it under:

**Settings → App Icon → Pingo**

The same picker will let you switch back to the default. Your Rooms, Pings, and account stay the same. Android app-icon switching is not currently available.
