Invite a friend without choosing a Room

You want a friend to try PingRoom. You do not yet know which Room you will share, and you should not need to create one just to send the invitation.

In the current Android beta, PingRoom gives you a standalone referral link. Open Earn Pro with friends, choose Invite a friend, and share the link. It opens PingRoom without adding your friend to one of your Rooms.

If they use it with a new verified account, they can claim two weeks of Pro. You earn one referral credit and decide when to spend it.

As of September 23, the complete inviter workflow is available in PingRoom 1.5.3 for Android beta, build 66. PingRoom’s beta page links to that exact build. The public App Store version remains 1.5.2, and we are not claiming that the currently linked iOS beta includes the full flow.

One link, no Room selection

In the Android beta:

1. Open Profile.
2. Select Earn Pro with friends.
3. Select Invite a friend.
4. Copy the referral link or open the share sheet.

The link uses the form pingroom.io/referral/CODE. It is tied to your account, not to a Room invite. You can share it before you have created a Room, and your friend does not join one as part of accepting it.

That separation is useful when the invitation comes before the setup. You can invite a friend today, then decide together whether you need a family Room, a project Room, a public Room, or no shared Room at all.

Your friend claims the welcome reward

When your friend opens the link, PingRoom hands it to the app when supported or continues in the browser. They sign in or create a verified account, save the referral, and claim two weeks of Pro.

The verified account must be no more than seven days old. Guest accounts do not qualify until they become verified accounts. Each new friend and device can count once, and a person cannot refer themselves.

The web referral handoff is live now, including the friend’s welcome claim. The inviter-side milestone screen described below is the part currently verified in Android beta build 66.

Keep the credit until you choose

The inviter does not receive Pro automatically when the friend qualifies. PingRoom records a credit, shows it in Earn Pro with friends, and lets the inviter claim a reward deliberately:

Claimed credits are spent. A credit used for the two-week reward is not also available for the one-year reward. Each reward can be claimed once.

Pingo’s counting bench is an editorial metaphor for unused credits and deliberate claims. The real balance belongs to your account. Pingo cannot inspect it, claim a reward, invite anyone, or act on your behalf.

When you claim timed Pro, it starts then or is added to your current Pro access. Claiming a referral reward does not cancel an existing paid subscription. Lifetime Pro cannot be extended, so accounts that already have it do not see a list of time-based referral rewards.

Share it with someone who is actually new

The referral rules are narrow on purpose. Use the link for a friend who is creating or has just created their own verified PingRoom account.

It is not a general promo code for an older account. Reusing a device or identity does not create another credit, and creating multiple accounts to repeat the reward is not an eligible workflow.

Share one standalone link, let your friend claim their welcome time, and leave your credit untouched until you want one of the available rewards.
