Roadmap

From one tap to one fabric.

PingRoom started as the bell: make a room, tap once, everyone knows. Version 1.2 is now live on the App Store, with Questions, Watch Smart Stack Pings, organized rooms, templates, insights and more. Here is what is built, and where the fabric goes next.

The notification bus is already shipping.

The 1.2 release moves PingRoom beyond a tap-only bell: rooms can ask Questions, agents can wait for answers, the Watch can Ping from its Smart Stack, and your rooms are easier to organize.

The next work is the same direction, pushed deeper: a shared, push-native channel for people and agents, with no vendor in the middle and privacy by architecture.

Live now

It already does all of this.

Not a demo. This is what PingRoom ships in production today, from a tap on your wrist to an AI agent that connects on its own.

Latest App Store build

Version 1.2 is live.

The current mobile build moves the roadmap forward: Questions, typed replies, better Watch surfaces, organized rooms, templates, links, Pro trial mechanics, and Android release hardening are no longer future work.

  • Questions shipped

Rooms, agents, and integrations can ask multi-option Questions with lock-screen replies or typed answers. First response wins, and everyone sees the result.

  • Watch got faster

Apple Watch now has an interactive Smart Stack widget, configurable complications, and better wrist-first Pinging.

  • Templates feel live

Quick Starts is now a horizontal template-card carousel, with live demos and honest gallery copy that matches what the app can do today.

  • Android hardened

The latest mobile changes add the Play-required location disclosure, remove an unused motion permission, and tighten Android share, picker, tab, and sheet behavior.

  • Rooms & broadcasting

    • One-tap rooms, joined by invite code, QR or invite link with no account to start
    • Instant broadcast Pings that reach every member in under a second
    • Quick-action buttons, each with its own label, emoji, color and sound
    • Questions with lock-screen quick replies, first response wins
    • Typed Question answers for agents that need a short human reply
    • Custom Pings can include links for meetings, docs, websites and more
    • Public broadcast channels, fan-out built for 20M Pings a day
    • Room templates with live demos, honest gallery copy and a Quick Starts carousel
    • A 25-sound library, now free for everyone, and a 180+ icon room catalog
  • Triggers, webhooks & connections

    • On-device location triggers, your coordinates never leave the phone
    • Scheduled Pings, daily, weekly or one-off, fully timezone-aware and able to target a quick action
    • Incoming webhooks so CI, monitoring or any service can Ping a room
    • Outgoing webhooks, HMAC-signed, with a per-room event filter
    • Mirror every Ping to Telegram, Discord, Slack or Microsoft Teams
    • Structured Pings carrying JSON data, correlation IDs and reply-to
  • Personal rooms & contact

    • Your personal room with a shareable handle and public preview
    • A contact card of social links, swapped in a single scan
    • Custom QR designs with your own colors, emoji and image
    • Contact sharing with a request, accept and decline flow
    • Insights on QR scans, handle opens, link opens, Pings and responses
    • Private notes on connections so context follows the person
    • Take-a-break mode to pause your room when you're off the clock
  • On every screen

    • Native iOS and Android apps, plus a browser web app

    • Direct APNs/FCM delivery, no third-party push vendor
    • Push-only, no always-on sockets draining your battery
    • Queued fan-out with delivery tracking and self-healing tokens
    • A distributed database backbone shared across the platform
    • Report and block flows for App Store 1.2 moderation

Most products never finish this part. We did.

The road ahead

Where the signal goes next.

One push-native fabric for every human and every agent. Here is the path, roughly in the order we are building it.

Directions, not dated promises.

  1. Shipped, the foundation

Everything above is live in production today. Jump to what’s built.

  2. Now / Next

    In build

Polishing the remaining not-yet-built controls after the 1.2 and Android release work.

    Structured data composer

    Top priority

Compose arbitrary JSON data, correlation IDs and reply-to threads on mobile beyond today's shipped link-ping helper.

    Approval queue polish

Better filters, badges, and expiry-first routing for time-critical agent requests now that Questions and typed answers are live.

    Visible action cooldowns

A countdown on each quick action so the built-in dedup window is something you can see, not just feel.

    Trigger recipes & cloning

Pre-built location and schedule recipes, plus one-tap duplication, so a new trigger is a tap, not a setup.

  3. Soon

    Designing

Adoption and reach, for builders and everyone they Ping.

    Integration snippets

    Top priority

    A copy-paste, three-line snippet for each scenario: CI alerts, agent-finished Pings, two-agent hand-offs.

    Owner analytics for any room

Generalize the live personal-room insights to every room: Ping volume over time, member timelines and trigger performance.

    Webhook delivery logs & retries

A per-webhook delivery log with status and timing, plus one-tap retry with backoff.

    Location triggers for any action

Let a geofence fire any quick action, not just the first, so an arrival rings exactly the right bell.

    Color-blind & reduced-motion modes

Deuteranopia, protanopia and tritanopia palettes, plus a full reduced-motion pass across every animated surface.

    Quiet hours & digests

A nightly window that batches Pings into a morning summary, with a VIP allow-list that always breaks through.

  4. Vision

    Exploring

Be the channel, not the app. One push-native fabric for every agent and human.

    The channel for agents

    Top priority

MCP gives one agent its tools; PingRoom gives many agents a shared, push-native channel.

    Full A2A transport

AgentCards are live; next is carrying Google's Agent-to-Agent message protocol over real push. Infrastructure, not an app.

    Connector-directory presence

Our own agent directory is live; next is a presence in every external registry, from Anthropic connectors to mcp.so.

    Drop-in SDKs & one-line install

Language SDKs and a one-line install, so connecting a tool or pushing a message takes five minutes, not a docs deep-dive.

    Smart notification rules

User-defined AND/OR rules and adaptive sound intensity, so the bell stays loud without becoming noise.

    Offline & resilient

A read-only cache offline and queued Pings that replay, deduped, the moment you reconnect.

The bigger bet

MCP gives one agent its tools. PingRoom gives many agents a shared channel.
  • Be the channel, not the app

A distinct, defensible layer: the shared push-native channel agents and humans both live on.

  • A2A, delivered as push

Become the delivery transport for the emerging agent-to-agent standard.

  • Open protocols, not lock-in

auth.md, MCP and A2A. Meet agents where the standards are going.

  • Privacy by architecture

Location on-device, push straight to APNs/FCM, as little collected as possible.

A developer plugs in their agent in five minutes, and from then on their agents and their humans share one notification fabric.

Make a room. Tap once. Everyone knows.

Free to start, no account required. The bell is live, the 1.2 foundation is shipping, and the fabric is being built in public.
